This place is awesome. Large portions, variety menu, vegetarian options, and very inexpensive. Right next to the Caledonian tube station. The people were friendly and efficient. We had been traveling and this was a perfect place to sit down, get a meal, pull out our laptops, and look up some local London spots. I got the chai late and omelette for just under 6 pound!

I'm only in the country for a limited time but I keep coming back to this place. Look for the red storefront literally to your right outta the Caledonian tube station.
Main thing to get: wraps, especially the chicken kebab ones, but there's just so many varieties that you're bound to find you like. I myself am in love with the Green Thai, Tikka, and the lamb kebab wraps. And yes the spicy dishes are actually spicy, this Turkish cafe is legit. Also the baked potatoes are huge and smelled amazing. I'm raving because you get great quality food (with Flavor!) for average of 4-7 euros. My cousins and I are crying because we don't have this place or an equivalent back home in CA.
It's really a great casual place with a huge amount of menu items and amazingly sweet service. Seriously the owners and staff were so friendly and welcoming throughout all our visits. Food comes out in less than 10 minutes even when busy (much faster if not). It's not the most Instagram looking food if that's what you're looking for but it's still so so good.
Hot drinks are amazing here too, especially the Hazelnut hot chocolate. Chai tea runs out by night so grab them while you can. While I didn't have any desserts there were plenty of people who came in only for them (with a cup of something hot of course).
The only thing to keep in mind is that they're cash only and aren't open late night (they open around 6:30am weekdays though). Watch out for rush hours since they seem quite popular with the local and working crowd. -

Only tried their coffee here but I really enjoyed it. The people are so friendly and welcoming too. Not such a spacious store but would like to stay in sometimes to try their food! Or the pastries!

If you've ever tried to grab lunch near Caledonian tube station, you know what a challenge it can be, unless you love the Tesco meal deal. Enter Kafeteryam Sandwich Bar, a lovely little Turkish cafe offering a variety of sandwiches, wraps, jacket potatoes, and daily specials. Kafeteryam also offers teas, coffees, and beautiful looking pastries. The portions are on the larger side and price on the lower side. The staff is kind and the owner is a jem, always willing to accommodate my vegan diet. Because the cafe is so popular with the local work crowd, be prepared for a short wait. Highly recommend to eat in or take away.
